STISIM Drive - Assign Simulation Colors Option
Previously we discussed how you can go in and define custom colors that can then be used for various objects within the simulation. Within STISIM Drive there are 2 different types of objects that can have colors assigned to them. The first is an SDL event such as the BLCK and POLY events. In this case multiple occurrences of the objects can appear during a simulation run and the color for each occurrence is specified as one of the event's parameters and therefore this section does not apply. The second type of object that can have a color assigned to it is a global object that will not change throughout the simulation run. Since the color of these objects will not change, they can be set once, and that is done with this option. When you select the "Assign Simulation Colors" option from the Options menu, the following list of choices will be displayed:
As you can see the dialog window contains a list of all the objects that you can assign a color to. To assign a color, simply chose an object by clicking on it using your mouse. The program will then display a window containing all of the currently specified colors:
Simply click on the desired color and click on Ok to
temporarily assign the color to the object that was chosen. When you choose an object and
the color selection window is displayed, you should see the color that is currently
assigned to the object. The color will appear in an expanded box above the normal box for
that color. If you decide not to change the object's current color, click on the cancel
button and you will be returned to the objects window. After assigning new colors to
various objects, you can use these new colors by clicking on the Ok button and exiting the
object selection window. If for any reason you want to disregard any changes that you
made, just click on the Cancel button and you will be returned to the STISIM Drive main
window without your changes taking affect. If you decide the colors that you assigned to
various objects should be saved for future use then you must save them by using the Save
Configuration option in the Files menu.
