OCTOBER 22, 2009

MIT 1K House is partnering with Skanska and Next Phase Studios to construct three exhibit 1K House prototypes in on MIT campus in Cambridge, MA. The project is moving forward, and the goal is to construct the prototypes by MIT Commencement on June 4, 2010.

Seven projects have been selected for possible full-scale prototyping. There are opportunities in 3 countries for prototyping:

United States: Roof House (T.Olson); Drunken House (S.Form); Anchor-Pier House (L.Rushfeldt)

The Philippines: Bamboo Tower (A.Rosenberg); Soft Courtyard House (C.Curran)

China: Brick House (N.Wong); Pinwheel House (Y.C.Chui); Roof House (T.Olson)
