MIT 1K House is partnering with Skanska and Next Phase Studios to construct three exhibit 1K House prototypes in on MIT campus in Cambridge, MA. The project is moving forward, and the goal is to construct the prototypes by MIT Commencement on June 4, 2010.

Work from the 1K House 2009 China Studio is currently showcased in an exhibition by the USC American Academy in China. link

June 10, 2009, the new website, has gone live! Icon images should now be working on all browsers. Many more updates to come, including more detailed documentation of the designs...

Seven projects have been selected for possible full-scale prototyping. There are opportunities in 3 countries for prototyping:

United States: Roof House (T.Olson); Drunken House (S.Form); Anchor-Pier House (L.Rushfeldt)

The Philippines: Bamboo Tower (A.Rosenberg); Soft Courtyard House (C.Curran)

China: Brick House (N.Wong); Pinwheel House (Y.C.Chui); Roof House (T.Olson)
