Players enter a room with three 'cake display cases,' or three fancy poles. One of the poles has a four-tiered chocolate cake stacked on it. The objective of the game is to move the cake stack from the first display case to the next display case, tier by tier. The catch is that a smaller tier can be stacked on any larger tier, but no larger tier can be stacked on a smaller tier. The rods will be a little shorter than the height of the average person, so players can lift the tiers over the rod in order to slide them onto the next rod.

This game is based off of the 'Tower of Hanoi' puzzle. The walls will be decorated with pictures of cake displays and 'baking and display instructions.' The instructions will gently suggest that larger tiers can't be stacked on smaller tiers, but in case this isn't noticed, there will be a warning buzz when players try to do that so they know that they are doing something wrong.

If groups win, the 'reset' will simply transferring the tiers from the last pole back to the first pole.

If players don't win, nothing has to be changed for the next turn because groups can just start from the state where gameplay left off. (Though there could be an instruction for players to put the pieces back the way they came before they leave, this shouldn't be relied on.)

Levels of difficulty can be changed by adding or removing cake tiers (a design choice at the start, not something that can be changed between turns).
