Meltdown Mystery

The world hoppers move to the final room of the plant, where they discover a part of the plant that appears to have been derelict for decades.

"This was the control room of an experimental reactor which was decommissioned fifteen years ago after it was discovered to have a dangerous flaw in its design. We believe that its chief engineer, Rodion Orlov was behind the meltdown we experienced today, but she has escaped to another time and place."

"Despite your efforts, we must evacuate in three minutes to avoid excess exposure. Gather the clues you can, and use them to help us find Rodion and bring her to justice."

One of the world hoppers discovers a button on the control panel which doesn't fit the pattern of the others; upon pressing it he hears a garbled voice with something that sounds like "temple."

Another hopper finds a series of odd scratchings under the numerals that dictate the pressure vessel's rating.

The third hopper sees an odd site for an otherwise industrial facility; chips of what appear to be... obsidian?

An alarm suddenly begins to chime, and emergency lighting comes on! "You are reaching critical exposure; you must evacuate now! Good luck in bringing Orlov to justice, comrades."

The hoppers compare the clues they've discovered in the final room of the plant and plot course for their next adventure in the land of... The Ancient Aztecs!

Through their travels, the world hoppers have discovered that the time-criminal "Rodion" goes by many names: Victoria Wright-Smith, Jesse "Gunslinger" Wilson, Rodion Orlov, and Ahuic Eztli. So far she has remained at large and one step ahead, but the world hoppers are hot on her trail...
