As people finish dinner, they start eyeing dessert, which is sitting on a large freezer in the corner of the room. Some people even start to clang their glasses with a fork to remind the president that announcements need to be made. Finally, Rich stands up with his glass and a fork and clangs his glass loudly a few times and says "Announcements?"

Around the room, brothers with announcements raise their hands. Like an elementary school teacher, Rich chooses each brother in turn to give his announcement. "Pajama Party tonight," one of the freshmen says. "Pay your house bill," Kevin, the treasurer says.

The list continues until every brother with a hand raised has had a chance to speak. Then Rich reiterates the highlights of the announcements and says, "Dessert!"

Someone else follows the call for dessert with, "Bus your tables!"

At this point, almost everyone has finished eating and two lines form. One is going into the kitchen to stack dirty plates, and the other is headed towards dessert. After getting dessert, brothers disperse around the house. Several brothers go back to their dinner tables to eat, while others head off to their rooms or to the common room to eat.
