Mel walks into the kitchen, closing the bathroom door behind him as he flips the light switch. It is imediately obvious what has caused the noise he heard from the bathroom.
"I knew I should have gotten cabinets with doors," he mutters as he picks up the broken glass and places the pieces in the trash.
"That's the third glass that's fallen in the last month. I guess I shouldn't store them so close to the edge." Mel looks around for the broom and dustpan so he can finish cleaning up the mess. Remembering that he left them in his room, he heads up the stairs.
