5 None 18.023 8.022 It has allowed me to find the strong bond between chemistry and physics (by the way, I love physics).
1 None 18.022 8.01 The course was very comprehensive and focussed well on exactly the topics that were barely covered or that I hadn't understood completely the first time I took the class.
2 5 18.02 8.012 Until the end, only a very little of each topic had not been taught in my high school class. My preparation put me right in the middle: the class seemed mostly review, but not enough that I could have skipped it entirely.
2 5 18.02 8.01x I really felt that this course covered many new topics, or topics more in depth so I didn't feel that anything should be eliminated.
2 4 18.02A 8.01L My chemistry background isn't strong enough to take 5.112.

5 18.02   none In the last 5 weeks of course — it was the newest info. I had never seen it in AP chemistry before, and I felt it moved too fast…to learn it in depth. I have a superficial understanding of valence bond theory, MO diagrams, etc.

2 3 18.02A 8.01 I do not think I was completely prepared for the depth of the material.
2 5 18.01 8.01 This is nothing like high school chemistry. I barely recognized the subject during the first month.
2 5 18.01A/2A 8.01 My high school class prepared me for less of half of 5.112. I honestly don't think any topics should be eliminated.

1 None 18.01 8.01 This class is really, really difficult for students who did not take AP chemistry i.e. one year of basic high school chemistry in 10th grade. People with a strong chemistry background should consider taking 5.112 so 5.111 can be more structured and well-paced for students with minimal chemistry background.
2 5 18.02 8.01 I think kids who have taken AP chemistry, learn very little from this course.
1 None 18.03 8.01
The class tends to assume I took a top-of-the-line AP chemistry course in high school. Not everybody does. The only chemistry course I had in high school was a basic class taught by a less-than-average teacher, so the beginning of 5.111 blazed by really fast.
1 5 18.02 8.01x I wanted to take 5.112 but my advisor said no.
2 3 18.022 8.01 I've really enjoyed the class. Even though I took AP chemistry, I didn't feel ready for 5.112. I was right — the pace of 5.111 is just right for me.
2 5 18.01 8.01 This class was very fast-paced for those who didn't take AP.
