Voice Modulator

Abstract

Our voice modulator samples an audio signal from a microphone and modulates it according to what notes are being played on an electronic keyboard. Regardless of what frequencies the input signal is producing, the output gets shifted to the frequencies of the notes being played while preserving the overtones that make up vocal patterns. Chords can also be produced - if the user plays the notes C, E, and G and speaks, the output will be him singing a C-major chord. This allows for some awesome effects, such as allowing one person to sing in four part counterpoint, or for someone who has no sense of pitch to sing perfectly in tune.
