Syllabus
Available here in PDF.

Quizzes
There will be a total of 4 quizzes. Dates are: Tue 2/22, Mon 3/14, Mon 4/11, Wed 5/4

Quizzes are closed book. Calculators will not be necessary. Quizzes will typically include at least one question on the experiments and one question on lecture demos. Quizzes will account for 60% of the final grade. There is no final exam.

Problem Sets
There will be twelve written homeworks (problem sets). They will typically be posted on the home page on Wednesday and are due on Friday (at 4PM) the following week. Late homeworks will not receive credit. Make sure to note your name and recitation number on each homework.

Experiments
The take home experiments, built from the parts in the red boxes, are a crucial part of the 8.02x experience. Each partnership of two students will build and use 8 experiments. All experiments need to be demonstrated and checked off during lab hours. Experiment related questions will be asked at check-off and will be included included on the problem sets, as well as in the quizzes. Early check-off of the experiments will be awarded bonus points. The detailed check-off and grading policy will be announced in class. A book with experiment information and instructions will be available at CopyTech.

Mastering Physics
See the Mastering Physics homepage.

Assignments will typically be posted on Wednesdays and are due the Wednesday of the following week. There will be total of 10 Cybertutor assignments.
