Plasmas, Random walks and applications: a first taste
· On one hand, plasmas are systems that exhibit collective behavior and are studied extensively for both their scientific beauty and technological importance.
· On the other hand, random walks are of primary importance to statistical physics and beyond.
· Finally, there is an interesting connection between them
These are the three main points of this presentation.
The material presented here is clearly more than can be covered in a single session. However each educator can either omit certain parts or extend his teaching into more than one session.
