In 2005/2006, a strong team of faculty fellows from MIT, NTU and
NUS jointly conducted courses and/or co-supervised research
activities at SMA. There were approximately 35 professors from MIT
and another 40 from NUS and NTU as well as 10 from the Research
Institutes (RIs) who participated.
Students actively engage their professors through the usual classroom
setting and Internet2, an interactive distance learning technology that
enables interaction between the MIT Fellows in Boston and students
in Singapore.
As SMA moves on to its second phase, a total of 43 faculty from MIT,
55 from NUS and NTU with 21 from RIs participated in the four
programmes launched in AY2005/2006.
