Each town on the primary map except for Christmas Town has an “extra” answer that does not contribute to solving any of the problems associated with that town. Each of those “extra” answers could be interpreted as a prank that the April Fool has played on a different town, providing a cycle. Each town’s art (again, except for Christmas Town) contains a clock. Patriots’ Day Town’s clock only has an hour hand. This provides a break in the cycle, turning it into a chain.
The numbers pointed to by the hour and minute hands in the pranked town are used as indices for extracting letters. Solvers find that the answer to the question “What is the April Fool planning next?” is JEST IN THE TIME OF NICK. That is, they are planning a prank in Christmas Town, the only town so far unaffected.
