China Earthquake Relief Efforts

As part of the global network of the Red Cross, ARCTAN is working to raise awareness of the fallout of China's earthquake and to support the recovery efforts. You can visit the Red Cross's dedicated page here to learn more about the disaster and how you can help with relief.

Myanmar Cyclone Relief Efforts

ARCTAN is also working to support the recovery efforts in Myanmar in response to the cyclone there. You can visit the Red Cross's dedicated page here to learn more about the disaster and how you can help with relief.


For those interested in becoming more involved by directly helping with local and even national disasters, ARCTAN's Disaster Action Team is open to any member of the MIT Community; all necessary training is provided for free.


Red Cross blood drives: donate and volunteer!

The next MIT blood drive will be held from June 23-June 27 in La Sala in the MIT Student Center. You can sign up for an appointment online and find more eligibility information at the blood drive appointment page; to be added to the volunteer mailing list or sign up for a volunteer slot, email blood-drive-managers@mit.edu.


Welcome to the American Red Cross Team And Network (ARCTAN) of the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. We are a college club of the Massachusetts Bay chapter of the American Red Cross.

We offer volunteer opportunities in all of the functions of the American Red Cross. We specialize in Blood Services, Disaster Relief, Health and Safety, Food Pantry, and Youth Outreach.
