Students are admitted into the MTPW program on a rolling admissions schedule. To apply, you should send your application anytime between October 1 and June 30 for the following academic year. The average time it takes to complete graduate review is six weeks from the date of your application's completion, after which you can expect a reply from our Graduate Office. Incomplete files cannot be considered.
TWTP applicants may apply until August 1, but there is a maximum number of 15 students in the program.
Applications must be submitted by February 15 to be considered for Teaching Assistantships. Acceptances and notifications of Assistantships are mailed in late March and early April. Because applications for TA awards are placed in a "teaching pool" for consideration, we can notify applicants of TA awards no sooner than April 1. See the Financial Aid page for more information about TA positions.
You may transfer up to three classes from another graduate program, including certificate programs at other schools. Northeastern TWTP graduates may transfer their certificate credits (21) into the MTPW program, as long as they complete the MTPW within seven years from the start of the TWTP.
