General Ledger

The General Ledger reports run on your authorized accounts only. The data available includes monthly data back to July 1989 and fiscal year-end data (no detail transactions) back to 1978. The final month of data available is June 1999.

The $SumMIT General Ledger reports are described below:

Report name	Description
Monthly statement	Same as your paper statement (or CAO Application's DPT 4). Runs on monthly or fiscal year-end data and one authorized account. From within a monthly report, you can list current month and FYTD detail by object code. You can resort detail on any field.
Detail transaction report	Lists detail transactions for an authorized account, one (or more) months of data, and all, one, or a selection of object codes. You can resort detail on any field.
Expenditures	Displays expenditures for the fiscal year in various object code categories (same as DPT 7, format based on "brown book"). You select monthly or fiscal year-end data, a range of authorized accounts, and a range of sponsor codes.
Account status	Displays account status for FY by supervisor (similar to CHT 19). Runs on monthly or year-end data and an account group you define (click for Define account group).
Market value	For authorized fund accounts (30000Ð36889), displays transaction code, FS, FI, pool units, book value, market value for FYTD.
Info summary	Summaries expenses by object code for a parent account (that is one of your authorized accounts) and all of its children. Runs on monthy or fiscal year-end data. From within the report you can display current month or FYTD detail by object code.
Recapitulation	Recaps expenses for a parent account (that is one of your authorized accounts) and each of its children (one line apiece). From within the report you can display monthly or fiscal year-end statements. Runs on monthly or fiscal year-end data.
Alternate FY	Summarizes expenses by object code (for single account or parent/children) or by account (for parent/children) from a start date you select (back to July 1989) to the most recently completed month of data.
Volume report (GL-46)	For one or more authorized departments, summarizes FYTD income and expenses by budget catgory for OSP, Funds, General, Other and all accounts.
General account (GL-54)	For authorized general accounts (13800Ð19999), displays FYTD dollars by section for S & W, EB, equipment, staff scholarships, other charges, revenue, and account totals.
Fund analysis (GL-62)	For one or more authorized fund accounts, displays FYTD beginning balance, gifts & other receipts, transfers, expenses, other charges, and ending balance.
