The LCS will have the following officers:
- The President will serve as the official representative of the group to MIT and other organizations. In addition, the President is responsible for scheduling and presiding over meetings. The president must be a current student.
 
- The Treasurer will be responsible for all group finances, and is required to sign all checks and vouchers for the group. The treasurer must be a current student.
 
- The Secretary will be responsible for maintaining and keeping up-to-date the membership list, responsing to and taking notes at meetings.
 
- The Publicist will be responsible for all group publicity, summer mailings, recruitment activities,  etc.
 
These positions must be occupied by distinct individuals. 
In addition, there are two non-unique officer positions:
- Chocolatiers serve as advisors. They are experienced with chocolate and/or event organization, and will be a resource for inexperienced but enthusiastic members to draw upon.
 
- Chefs serve as event organizers. They are responsible for
making club activities happen.  This responsibility includes arranging
room reservations, notifying the publicist or creating publicity, acquiring
necessary materials, and determining entry fees, if any.
 
Any member can be appointed to one or both of these positions by the officers.
The officers can remove the officership at any time.
