The MIT Asia innovation project is a two-year study of the effects of the financial crisis on technology innovation in East Asia, including the foreign policy, business, and security implications that will follow. It was launched by senior researchers at MIT on June 4, 1999. There are approximately 15 researchers working on the study which focuses on technology development and innovation in 8 East Asian countries.
