MIT ROTC Task Force Homepage

The ROTC Task Force is a group of faculty and students appointed by President Vest to undertake a review of the impact of the military's "Don't ask, don't tell" policy governing homosexual orientation and conduct in the armed forces. In his charge to the Task Force, President Vest asks the group to:

• assemble and disseminate relevant information for the MIT community;
• engage in community discussions;
• frame the issues for the faculty;
• and recommend a course of action.

This work follows a five year effort by the MIT administration to try to bring change to Department of Defense policies in this area.
