The World Premiere of the latest Zimbabwean feature film directed by Tsitsi
Dangarembga will be Friday, September 13 at 7:30 pm at the Varsity 1 Cinema
in Toronto. This is her first film, and the first film ever made by a
Zimbabwean woman. There will be a reception afterwards (some place within
walking distance). Invitations to the reception are available at the show -

just see Tsitsi Dangarembga, (director) John or Louise Riber (producers,
editor) or Steve or Sally Smith (distributors) - we'll all have name tags so

you can identify us.

The second screening is Saturday, September 14, 10:30 am at the Cumberland 2

Cinema. Tsitsi and Sally and Steve Smith be there as well in case anyone
wants to see it again, or can't make it Friday evening.

The Friday show is sold out. In fact the festival has provided DSR with
only 64 tickets instead of the 80 they confirmed they'd have for us, so
we've had to ask some to come on the Saturday instead.

But we still have plenty of tickets for the Saturday showing. If you would
like to come please contact Steve Smith at scs@dsr.us.net

The American premiere is Saturday Oct 12th at the Mill Valley Festival
outside San Francisco. Please watch this listserver for more information.

The African premiere is Sept 18th, contact Steve Smith, or Jonny Persey at
MFD (mfd@mango.zw) for information.

There will also be a showing in London. Contact Jonny Persey at MFD.
