My undergraduate students just watched "Yeelen" a few days
ago, and have several questions, primarily about what most
of them describe as "the confusing" ending of the film.
Several of these students also want to know the "symbolism
of the pole and the eggs." Here are some of their comments:

"I don't get it." "I don't understand the ending at all."
"Quentin Tarentino style film making." "How is Yeelen a
good representation of African cinema?"

Who is Quentin Tarentino? Has any one had similar responses
from students to "Yeelen." I would appreciate any
suggestions you have about discussing this film, as well as
your interpretations. Thank you.
