1. They now offer satellite phones for hire for film makers in Kenya -
although the price is high - USD15/min for calling Nairobi!!!
2. Did you know that it is a legal requirement that all films made in Kenya
to provide VHS copies to the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting (and
to the Kenya Wildlife Service if any filming took place in National Parks).
Also in Tanzania a VHS should go to the Director of Information Services.
These are for their records only and won't be broadcast, although they
can be shown for educational purposes and used for archival and research
purposes.
3. They said there is predictions of the worst drought for 35 years.
