    I quite agree Du Store Verden(?) I am half-West African so can
    contribute little to what Ms. Vogel might be seeking. It would be to her
    advantage to look for oral tales and stories about the landscape, flora
    and fauna she must want to portray from ethnic groups in that area. It
    has been very fatiguing to see African landscapes on movie screens with
    a stray half-dressed African here and there, running around with a spear
    in his hand and a blank face. It reflects indifference on the one hand,
    and ignorance on the other. But perhaps Ms. Vogel would like to use the
    explorers' quotes and notes to illustrate that?
