Many thanks to all the institiutions who have expressed interest in =
hosting some of the filmmakers participating in the "Great African Films =
of the 90's" series at the Smithsonian. Two of the five directors on the =
original list will not be able to participate. Ousmane Sembene will be in =
production during that period and Djibril Diop Mambety is no longer among =
us. Here is the list of those who will be present and available to visit =
some institutions.
1) Fanta Nacro will be available from October 12 through 19, 1998
2) Jean Pierre Bekolo will start shooting in LA in late October. His =
availability will be subject to a case by case examination.
3) Idrissa Ouedraogo will be available from November 15 through 25, =
1998.=20
