People's Democratic Republic of San Corenzo

The present government of San Corenzo; founded in 2019, when through particularly skillful negotiations, members of the People's Democratic Party, and representatives of the United Genome Corporation were able to successfully convince President Burngray and his congress to grant the island its independence.

As a condition of its independence, Menor agreed that San Corenzo would, as a matter of treaty, remain bound by certain of the principles espoused in its International Open Pledge, especially those regarding protecting the interests of the United States and its industries. The new San Corenzo would impose no excessive taxes or tarriffs on foreign interests, nor would it tolerate any acts of vandalism or sabotoge committed against foreign property.

Still, many claim that these deeds were performed out of necessity in order to ensure stability in an emerging republic.
