The mother is standing in front of a Japanese screen wondering what came over her when the daughter slowly wheels through the door. "I'm done looking."

"Okay." She does not turn, but breathes slowly and watches her daughter's reflection in the case.

Her daughter toys with the velvet rope between her and the elevator. "I'm ready to go, if you want to."
