Annie leaned close to Norman, and they kissed. Reg soon wandered into the living room, and looked rather awkwardly at the couple. Sensing Reg's arrival, Annie and Norman quickly tried to get as far from each other in the room as much as possible. "Er-hallo again," Reg began hesitatingly, "Excuse me, just came in for something." "What?" Norman asked. "What?" asked Reg startled. He gathered himself, "Yes-what?-er. Yes, This is it. Yes, thank you," Reg said as he picked up a small metal waste basket from the floor. Carrying the wastebasket, Reg walked quickly out of the room again. Annie and Norman looked at each other. |
