This collection of papers, abstracts, and associated navigation tools comprises the conference papers and poster abstracts of the CUPUM 2015 conference July 7-10, 2015, at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) in Cambridge, Massachusetts (USA). All submissions were peer-reviewed. For more than 20 years, CUPUM (Computers in Urban Planning and Urban Management) has been one of the premier international conferences for the exchange of ideas and applications of computing technologies to address a diverse range of social, managerial, and environmental problems impacting urban planning and development. The conference website is here: http://cupum2015.mit.edu

The 2015 conference theme is "Planning Support Systems and Smart Cities" although CUPUM and the papers and posters included in the conference span a broad range of topics related to urban planning and urban management.  The conference papers have been grouped into five Tracks: 'Urban Analytics', 'Public Engagement', 'Urban Information Infrastructure', 'Urban Modeling', and 'Urban Management and Decision Support'.  The conference poster abstracts are listed separately. The conference papers are organized according to the 39 CUPUM 2015 conference sessions plus the Plenary Sessions. Both conference papers and poster abstracts are made available on this device as PDF files that are clickable via hyperlinks from the proceedings listings.

A selection of 25 papers among those prepared for CUPUM 2015 were solicited, peer-reviewed and included in a conference book entitled, "Planning Support Systems and Smart Cities,"  published by Springer, as part of its LNG&C Series (Lecture Notes in Geoinformation and Cartography) and edited by Stan Geertman, Joseph Ferreira, Jr., Robert Goodspeed, and John Stillwell.  This book has ISBN 978-3-319-18367-1 for the hardcover edition and is also available as an eBook (ISBN=978-3-319-18368-8) and via DOI=10.1007/978-3-319-18368-8.  All conference registrants receive one copy of the hardcover book at the conference.  The copyright of the book chapters is owned by Springer and only the title page and abstract are including in these conference proceedings.
