The first DSpace poster was published in May, just prior to Carly Fiorina's visit to deliver the MIT commencement address. The fractal illustration in the poster was done by one of our first contributors, Janet Parke Preslar, who has been creating fractal art since 1997. What began for Janet as a fascinating pastime has grown into a burgeoning career in art.

Ms Preslar's art has won top awards in several international fractal contests, appeared in solo exhibition in Memphis, Tennessee, and as part of "The Frontier Between Art and Science" exhibition currently traveling around Europe. You can see more of her work in her online galleries.
