Getting the Word Out

The Communications team reaches out to MIT and the larger community to address topics from construction updates to conservation innovations. Inside Facilities, the group alerts employees to news and critical information electronically and in print.

The Facilities web site is an effort to streamline communication between Facilities units and their customers – the MIT community. The team also puts notices in Tech Talk and the Tech to alert the community to construction impacts.

Communications publishes an internal newsletter, the Foundation, to showcase performance awards and department news. The team also conducts customer forums to gauge service needs and provides editorial assistance throughout the department.
