Work Supporting Strategic Goals Receives Highest Honors

This award is an opportunity for colleagues to nominate individuals or teams for outstanding leadership and performance in areas that support our department's Strategic Goals. The award, given annually, includes a certificate and a cash award in the amount of $1,200 for an individual or $5,000 for a team (not to exceed $1,200 for any individual on the team).

Nominations may be submitted by colleagues, managers, supervisors or others within the MIT community. Nomination forms may be sent at anytime and are available on this website. A completed form may be submitted electronically or via inter-office mail to the department’s Human Resources office at NE49-2000. Assistance in completing the nomination form is available by calling 617-452-3713 or by sending an email to dof-rr@mit.edu.

Nomination selection

Each year various members of the Department of Facilities, representing many different areas, will be asked to serve on the Selection Committee to review the nominations for eligibility against the established criteria and to select the winners. No member of the Selection Committee will be eligible to receive an Infinite Mile Award during that award year. If a member of the Selection Committee receives a nomination he or she will be excused from the selection process.
