Facilities Employees Making MIT Work

Two directors now lead Facilities teams.

In October 2007, EVP Theresa Stone reformulated the department to better serve the needs of the MIT community. She split the previous Chief Facilities Officer role into two separate, but closely linked, Facilities leadership teams. Dick Amster now heads the Campus Planning and Design, Project Management and Engineering teams. Former Chief of Police John DiFava assumed dual leadership of Campus Police and Security and Facilities Operations and Utilities.
