ACTIVITIES FOR IMAGES MODULE
Make sure you take time to introduce/show this module to the students, since it is quite different from the others. Make sure that students:
- understand what it is about and how it works (See Introduction to the Image Module)
- spend time thinking about what documents they might want to post
- think about posting materials not just once but throughout the semester or term. This will require that you occasionally remind them of it.
ACTIVITY
This activity can be done about any forum after the initial analysis has been completed.
Ask the students to choose one word or one concept each that they would like to illustrate (if possible, try to pair them with one of their counterpart
in the other group.
After studying the various use of the word or concept, what visual documents can they add to clarify the meaning, demonstrate the point or
make it more relevant to their own lives (for example, the word "suburb" has been illustrated in the past with students posting picture of their own
suburban homes, their friends, etc.)
