Mission Statement
The Experimental Syntax and Semantics lab is both a
facility and a group of people at MIT's Department
of Linguistics and Philosophy dedicated to the experimental investigation of Logical Form

Methods
We use a variety of experimental tools
 including self-paced reading, self-paced
counting, Cross Modal Lexical Decision and
Priming, eye-tracking, and online questionaires
Research
Interweaving theoretical and empirical work,
we investigate how language interfaces with the conceptual intentional systems of the mind. Current research areas include the processing of quantifier integration in real time, ellipsis, degree operators, extraposition as well as verification procedures associated with quantified statements
