1. Easter Celebration (Easter Time).
Every year the HSA organizes a traditional Greek-Easter celebration.
For the past few years the Hellenic Students' Association of Wellesley
has hosted the celebration at the Slatter International House
at the Wellesley Campus.
2. International Fair (Spring Term).
The HSA participates each year in the International Fair organized by
the International Students Association. A booth containing Greek and
Cypriot information is set up and a dance group performs several
traditional greek dances.3. Graduation Barbeque (Early June).
Right after graduation each year, a barbecue is held in honor of the
hellenic students who have just graduated. Furthermore, this event is
the fare well party for the members of the HSA that will be departing
from MIT.
4. Welcome Get-Together for the New Students (Mid Sept.).
This event is geared towards introducing the newly admitted hellenic
students to the hellenic student body of MIT. Professors and students
are invited to get together and wish each other a good academic year.
5. Yearly HSA Dance organized with the HSAs of the
Universities of Boston (Late Nov.).
The hellenic students' associations of the Universities of Boston
pitch in to organize an International Dance. It is usually held in a
hotel in the Boston area and is the most succesful event of the year.
6. New-Year Celebration Get-Together (Early Feb.).
Professors and students take part in the traditional "Basilopitta"
celebration. The "Basilopitta" is cut and one of the HSA members wins
the lucky coin of the new year. happy new year wishes are exchanged
by all the members.
