Poster size:
Each student will have a 4 ft by 4 ft area for poster presentation. HST will have pushpins on hand for mounting. Please email hstforum@mit.edu if you need more space or have special needs.
Poster design:
On your poster please include: Your name, lab, and the HST/Harvard/MIT
logos. Please click here to download the logos.
Please send an electronic copy of your poster to hstforum@mit.edu
if you would like it posted on HST's website.
Where to print your poster:
HST is no longer running the poster
printer in the student lounge. This year students presenting a poster
can either print it out on 8.5 by 11 inch paper and tack it together
on the board or have the poster printed by a professional vendor.
If you are interested in professional printing, please click here for more information.
Set up:
Students presenting a poster should arrive at Walker Memorial between 2:00 and 2:30 to set up your poster as the session begins promptly at 3:00. Poster tubes can be hard to find. If you want a poster tube, please click here to order. Please make sure you label your poster tube. Poster tubes can be stored at the registration desk.
Student poster session:
We ask that there be at least one person at each poster for the duration of the session (3:00 p.m. - 5:00 p.m.). Students presenting a poster will have reserved seating for David Ho's talk so there will be no need to claim a seat.
Clean up:
Following Dr. Ho's speech there
will be a reception from 6:15 p.m. - 7:30 p.m. You are not required
to be at your poster during this period. We do ask that you
wait until 7:30 to remove your poster. If you plan on leaving the
event before 7:30, please let someone know at the registration desk.
We will bring your poster back to E25-519. You will be responsible
for picking up your poster by March 31, 2006. If the poster is not
picked up, it will be thrown away.
Special Priviliges:
We are excited to announce that
David Ho has agreed to have an informal lunch with a small number
of HST students before the Forum. Half of these seats will be designated
via raffle to students who have committed to presenting a poster
by March 6, 2006. If you are presenting a poster and want to
be entered in the raffle, please email hstforum@mit.edu.
Students who are presenting a poster at the Forum will also have
a reserved seat in the front section of the hall for Dr. Ho's talk.
Please email hstforum@mit.edu
if you have any questions.
We look forward to an exciting and productive day. Thank you for participating! |
