This three-hour presentation is an excerpt from a class offered at Networld/Interop and Usenix. We will discuss wireless LAN technology, concentrating on the 802.11b protocol, the technology currently being deployed at MIT (see the MIT Unwired talk). A technical overview of the basics of 802.11b, incuding implementation issues, will be offered.
