Tai Chi Chuan ("Grand Ultimate Boxing") in the US is primarily taught as a tool for health and relaxation, but is also an extraordinary martial style. In these sessions you will learn the 24-form "competition" set of Yang style TaiChi, with a background explanation of each form describing the fighting application that it models.

A two-class seminar offering easy to master tips on making better photographs of people. First class will involve lecture and directed shooting. Eating well is not an expensive habit if you know the basics of cooking. This introductory class will take students through a journey of taste, from the basics in tools and techniques, to the final "impressing a date" class. Rather than teaching individual recipes, this course will help students to build a set of skills and techniques that allow them to cook in a simple kitchen and produce impressive results. Practical demonstrations will be given throughout the course. Held in Next House Country Kitchen.

Students will explore the fundamentals of modern mathematics using video-oriented mathematics designed by Cal Tech's Thomas Apostol. Topics range from geometry to calculus and analysis,with emphasis on areas which traditional classroom study often neglects. The history of mathematics is also discussed. Zometool Workshop

Zometool is a unique system of balls and struts that can be used to build anything from the platonic solids to models of DNA. Come build something yourself, or join guest expert Mira Bernstein of Wellesley in building a 3-D projection of a large 4-D object. No prior experience necessary.
