The MIT Korean Karate Club practices Chung Do Kwan, a traditional style of Tae Kwon Do, emphasizing five tenets to mastery: speed, power, focus, accuracy, and balance. Partner drills are performed with no offensive contact, allowing us to train hard while avoiding injuries. We are an informal and fun-loving bunch. Joining is a great way to work off MIT stress, stay in shape, gain self-esteem, and learn self defense. No prior martial arts experience is necessary; everyone is welcome.
