2004 MITSO Conducting Workshop

Limited to 6 participants.

An intensive conducting workshop consisting of a thorough entrance examination followed by a conducting seminar focusing on: aural skills, score reading and analysis, performance issues/problems, and baton technique. A maximum of 6 participants will be selected. Chosen participants will conduct piano, a small ensemble, and will have ample opportunity to conduct the full orchestra. All orchestral conducting sessions will be videotaped. The workshop will end with a public performance of Beethoven, Symphony No.6 "Pastorale" on Sunday, Feb. 1.
