Approaches to Teaching and Learning: A Scholarly Perspective
Dr. Keith Trigwell, Oxford University
Tue Jan 27, 03:30-05:00pm, 9-151

No enrollment limit, no advance sign up
Single session event

How can what we teach be informed by what we know about student learning? The approach to university teaching presented in this talk begins with the idea that teaching involves much more than what happens in the classroom or on-line. It includes planning, thinking about context, molding content, and reflecting on the teaching process. While there is variation in the ways teachers think about teaching, Dr. Trigwell will present research that shows some approaches to teaching lead to more learning than others.
