Authorship, Surveillance and Evaluation in the Design of Exhibition Spaces
Konstantinos Tsakonas, Bill Arning
Thu Jan 29, 10am-05:00pm, AVT 7-431

Single session event

In the design of exhibition spaces, there is often creative tension in claiming authorship of visitors' experience among three important contributors: the artist, the curator and the architect of the space. Furthermore, it is hard to ascertain the quality of the experience as methods for surveying visitors' behavior and evaluating the design of the exhibition space are still in their developmental infancy. The workshop accommodates artists, architects and curators as they discuss the current state of affairs, especialy in relation to the use of computer technology in the design, surveillance and evaluation of exhibition spaces.
