Self Defense - LEAP

Prereq: Must register thru PE Lottery

LEAP (Lifetime Empowerment & Awareness Program) self-defense, Inc. provides both self-defense skills as well as a self-reflective component that focuses on keeping girls/women safe in their communities. The program teaches numerous physical self-defense techniques, safety and
awareness skills, and builds confidence. Students will receive training in this course to become mentors ("Teaching women") in Cambridge programs for girls aged 8-16.This course is directly linked to Community service opportunities and will prepare MIT volunteers for spring Girls' LEAP programs.
