Prereq: Interest in music

No musical background required. This group class combines entertaining demonstrations and performances of Arabic music with a compelling explanation of cultural context. Students will be exposed to the basic sounds and ideas behind Arabic music and its distinction from Western music. The class culminates in full student participation. The presentation is lighthearted and humorous.
