Lifeguard Training
HFC Staff

Participants requested to attend all sessions (non-series)
Prereq: MIT Card
Fee: 240.00 for Course materials and certification

The American Red Cross Lifeguard Training course emphasizes professionalism, accident prevention, surveillance, victim recognition, and equipment-based rescues. Students must pass practical skills and a multiple-choice exam to earn certification. Prerequisites include 500 yard swim, and retrieval of 10 pound brick from 14 foot deep water. If successfully completed, you will receive ARC Lifeguard,
CPR for the Professional Rescuer & First Aid certification.
