Technical Presentations for Graduate Students
Nhut Ho
Thu Jan 8, 06-08:00pm, 3-133

No enrollment limit, no advance sign up

Have your technical presentations sometimes just bombed? Common problems graduate students and postdocs face when giving technical presentations will be explored. Fundamentals of advance preparation, slide design, and presentation delivery will be explored in the first part. In the second part, you will gain practical experience by doing a prepared, 5-minute presentation of your research. Each presentation will be evaluated constructively by an experienced evaluator. If you are interested in presenting, bring a 5-minute presentation (in a PC floppy diskette or zip drive or transparency slides) to the workshop. We will enter you in a lottery and try to accommodate as many presentations as we can.
