Last spring MIT TechTV was launched with video content submitted by participants in the first annual Tech Video Showcase. Since then hundreds of additional videos have been uploaded to MIT TechTV. MIT TechTV is pleased to host another video contest with a screening and awards ceremony during the last week of IAP. Please attend this info session to view highlight videos from the last contest, learn about available resources, and share ideas about potential contest submissions for this year...you can perhaps team up with other contest participants. The contest grand prize is a new iPod Touch.

Making Your Own Videos for the Web & MIT TechTV

Prereq: basic computer knowledge

Web video is suddenly everywhere. From YouTube to MIT’s own MIT TechTV, it seems like everyone is creating and posting video on the Internet. Now you can join the club. In this seminar, you’ll learn the basics of digital video editing and how to post your finished piece on sites such as MIT TechTV. No experience necessary. A laptop loaded with some kind of digital editing software (Apple iMovie, Final Cut Pro, Windows MovieMaker, etc.) is desirable but not required.
