This video is from a course project Hunter Douglas and I did for John Williams' 1.001 course at MIT. We scraped data from Sputnik Music, a collaborative music blog, and mapped out the "geography" of different musical genres over time using data from the Echo Nest API (special thanks to Paul Lamere for providing us with access to this).
