My research concerns the effects of restricted geometry on the nature of physical systems. Two recent projects are: heat conduction in nanowires, where the quantum confinement in the x and y directions lead to non-Debye temperature dependence of heat conduction; and the structure of small clusters of particles with short range attraction and long range repulsion, which models the precursors to aggregation/crystallization of proteins.
