My research centers on modeling and prediction of equilibrium phase diagrams and dynamical signatures in complex polymers.

Projects include:

1) Phase and orientational ordering in complex anisotropic materials. Applications include: liquid crystal technology, spatial light modulators, and high strength fibers such as Kevlar, a polyamide.

2) Reaction and conformational relaxation modulated collapse in single macromolecule kinetics. This project investigates the effects of contacts kinetics on experimental probes such as the collapse dynamics and FRET observables with application to protein folding and relaxation in gels.
