Data Ethics Workshop at KDD 2014- Workshop co-chair
- M.Sc. research thesis, advised by Alon Itai (Technion Computer Science Department) and Shuly Wintner (University of Haifa Computer Science Department).
- Using machine learning techniques on large unstructured text corpora, automatically construct an acronym-meaning dictionary with contextual data useful for disambiguation, and explore related linguistic phenomena.
- Final thesis is long and technical, but you can skip to page 58 (page 69 in the PDF) for the "Whimsy" appendix filled with comics and trivia, as well as a summary of the research in limerick form on page 64 (page 75 in the PDF).
- Natural language processing lead on open-source machine learning project to automate human review of crowd sourced crisis reports, in partnership with humanitarian non-profit Ushahidi.
- Collaborated with 36 data scientists in Eric & Wendy Schmidt Data Science for Social Good Fellowship led by former chief scientist of Obama 2012 campaign.

- Ran a hackathon, mentored participants as they explored Israel's technology scene, helped plan visits to hi-tech companies and the Technion, and ensured trip logistics ran smoothly.
- Managed unexpected wartime challenges during Operation Protective Edge.
- Helped design and create new initiative targeting secondary school students and educators for free web-based publication of MIT course materials.
- Software developer for online medical documentation application that easily produces medical evaluations and prescriptions, generating randomized natural-language-sounding report text from doctor-provided data. Used by hundreds of physicians across the United States to significantly increase speed and accuracy of patient documentation process.
